Agreement signed over smart energy meters

Muscat: An agreement has been signed between the National Energy Centre (NEC) and the Sagemcom French company in the field of general applications for smart energy meters and the IoT.

"The National Energy Centre (NEC) and Sagemcom signed an agreement in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Dr Ghazi bin Saeed Al Bahr Al Rawas, the Sultanate’s Ambassador in Paris, in the field of general applications for smart energy meters and the IoT, in order to manufacture in the Sultanate of Oman," NEC said in a statement.
