Twitter alert tests to be run for Tsunami Early Warning system in Oman

Muscat: Oman Meteorology might send out a few test tweets, in order to ensure the readiness of the Tsunami Early Warning Systems. These test tweets are expected to be sent out on Monday and Tuesday, the organisation said.

"The Directorate General of Meteorology is in the process of updating the Tsunami Early Warning Systems today and tomorrow. Test tweets may be sent to ensure the readiness of the system, "Oman Meteorology said in a statement.
