Ministry issues directives about hospital and veterinary clinic licences

Muscat: The Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources issued a ministerial decision specifying the fees for a number of the ministry's services, including the number of fees for issuing licences for hospitals and veterinary clinics.

The Ministry said: “Based on the law on the practice of veterinary medical professions issued by Royal Decree No. 22/2017, and on the executive regulations issued by Ministerial Resolution No. 23/2021, and on the approval of the Ministry of Finance, and based on what the public interest requires, it was decided to determine the fees for some services provided by the Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources.”

The services include:

1- Issuance or renewal of a private veterinary hospital licence (150 OMR per year)

2- Issuance or renewal of a private veterinary clinic licence (50 OMR per year)

3- Issuance or renewal of a private veterinary pharmacy licence (50 OMR per year)

4- Issuance or renewal of a private veterinary laboratory licence (75 OMR per year)

5- Issuance or renewal of a licence to practice veterinary medicine for a veterinarian, assistant or nurse (25 OMR per year)

6- Exam or re-examination of a veterinarian or veterinarian assistant to obtain a licence to practice the profession of veterinary medicine (30 OMR)

7- Replacement for lost or damaged services for all animal or veterinary projects (2 OMR)
