LuLu Hypermarket Oman announced the opening of its latest store in Jalan Bani Bu Ali in the South Sharqiya Governorate yesterday. The new store was inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Nayef Hammoud Hamad Al-Maamari, Deputy Wali of Jalan Bani Bu Ali, in the presence of H.H Faisal bin Mohammed Al Said, Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman and Managing Director, LuLu Group International, and the Senior Management of LuLu Oman.
The new store will further strengthen the group’s presence in the country and will offer customers a new level of standard in price, convenience, comfort, quality in-store service levels and above all, a new shopping experience. The new branch features state-of-the-art facilities, elegant interiors, well-planned retail floor layout, ample aisle space, extensively laid out counters and liberal parking space.
Speaking at the launch, Yusuff Ali M.A., said, “We are happy to launch our 28th store in Oman in Jalan Bani Bu Ali. The opening of the new hypermarket is in line with our ambitious plans to rapidly expand our footprint in the country and a reflection of our commitment towards the local community. Currently we have 3200 Omanis employed across various departments Including IT, Accounts, Admin and front office. We are one of the largest employer of Omani nationals in the private sector. As part of our expansion plan, we are planning to launch more stores across the Sultanate in the coming months. The country’s robust economy and investor-friendly policies have always been conducive for us to firmly establish our presence here. The government has been readily supporting us in all our ventures to date and helping us contribute to the economic and social development of the country.”
The hypermarket has 130,000 square feet of retail space and is positioned as an ideal spot for essential and lifestyle shopping. It has dedicated in-store sections for fresh and frozen food, fruits and vegetables, groceries, electronics, home products and more, offering an extensive choice of premium and locally sourced products. New features have been put in place throughout the store to make a better overall experience for shoppers. There are special counters for meat and butchery, bakery products as well as an instore kitchen for freshly made meals. There is a mix of 23 other outlets in this store, including restaurants and cafes and a family entertainment centre.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ananth A V, Director of LuLu Hypermarkets Oman & India, shared: “The opening of the new store in Jalan Bani Bu Ali reflects an emerging need to stay in pace with the evolving consumer needs in this area.
