Muscat: Several archaeological missions are resuming survey and excavation works at a number of sites in the Sultanate of Oman, after stopping due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Archaeological missions continue survey and excavation works in a number of archaeological sites in the Sultanate of Oman during the 2021-2022 season, after a break due to the Corona pandemic,” Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

"His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim bin Said bin Khalaf Al Kharousi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage, reviewed with a number of heads of archaeological missions, the situation regarding archaeological excavations and the most important progress reached by these missions in their various projects, in addition to addressing aspects of developing and preserving archaeological sites.”
