For those who are in Oman, this is the perfect time to enjoy the chilly weather, feel the winter sun, watch the stars at night,  and make full use of the pleasant climate. And the best way to do so is to go camping, Oman being an ideal camping destination especially during the winter months.

 Oman proves to be an ideal camping destination. There are a number of camping ways that you could try in the vast country starting from setting up a basic tent and setting up a campfire near it to the more sophisticated and recently trending glamping where you get to enjoy the best of both worlds i.e luxuries of life whilst being as close to your favourite natural spot as you want.

According to Oman's Ministry of Tourism, "The diverse environment of Oman allows many options when it comes to camping. Camping is enjoyed on Qantab in Muscat Governorate, Ras Al Hadd in A'Sharqiyah South Governorate, on mountain tops in Jabal Shams (Sun Mountain) or Al Jabal Al Akhdar (Green Mountain) in A Dakhiliyah Governorate, camping in the desert, both in Badiya sands in A'Sharqiyah North Governorate, or in The Empty Quarter in Dhofar.  This is not to mention the magnificence of camping in Damaniyat Islands in Al Batinah South Governorate, or camping in one of the secluded beaches that spread in Musandam Governorate."

Sharqiyah Sands: It is one of the places you should not miss visiting while you’re in Oman, as it is one of the most popular destinations for dune bashing, camping, and even sand surfing. And, it’s best visited during this breezy weather to avoid excruciating heat.

Wadi Shab: Here you’ll find wonderful clear water pools for a quick swim, as well as spectacular views of Oman’s nature. The attraction is a hub for both locals and tourists, and can be accessed by saloons, too.

Jabal Shams:
Visiting the highest peak in Oman must be on your bucket list. Jabal Shams is a grand landscape located in Al Dakhiliyah, close to Nizwa and Bahla. The place offers a one-of-a-kind weather that’s chilly yet perfect.

White Beach, Fins: This famous beach is renowned to have a rocky coastal wall, long and captivating sea scenery, and beautiful white sands; it is one of the best locations for snorkelling and diving enthusiast who enjoy marine life.This rocky coastal beach stretch has one of the best spots for snorkelling and diving, and those who enjoy marine life they will feel right at home. What sets this beach apart from others in Oman is its captivating sea scenery accompanied with white sands.
