Over 13,000 mangrove saplings to be planted in Al Wusta

Muscat: ln cooperation with Petroleum Development Oman(PDO), the Environment Authority is planting around 13,000 mangrove seedlings in Al Wusta Governorate

A statement issued online by the Authority said, "The Environment Authority , in cooperation with Petroleum Development Oman, is implementing a campaign to plant 13,000 mangrove seedlings in Khor Qaysad in the Wilayat of Al Jazer during the period from 7th -11th November 2021."

"The cultivation comes within the national initiative to plant 10 million trees, which aims to preserve, protect and restore ecological systems," the Authority added.
