New Omani wheat product launched

Muscat: The Oman Flour Mills Company has launched a wheat product named ‘Bur’.

"Oman Flour Mills Company launches the Omani wheat product "Bur ", which is grown in a number of governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, as part of the company's efforts to promote local agricultural products and motivate farmers to contribute to achieving food security requirements and limiting wheat imports from abroad,” Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

Halima bint Mubarak Al Kalbania, product in-charge said: "The launch of this product is one of the requirements to achieve self-sufficiency in national products by encouraging farmers to grow wheat and market and sell their products according to the best standards and specifications."
