Muscat: Oman Post & Asyad Express, member of Asyad Group, participated at Scalex Dubai (Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence) conference as part of Hypermotion Dubai, taking place on the sidelines of the Expo 2020 Dubai.
Sayyid Nasr Al Busaidi, General Manager Customer Experience at Oman Post & Asyad Express joined policymakers, strategists and industry experts in a panel session titled ‘Automation Strategies to Manage Growth in eCommerce Fulfilment’, to outline the challenges and opportunities within the Middle East’s eCommerce, as well as logistics and supply chain sectors.
Panellists discussed the latest digitally-enhanced technologies that will be driving future automation and sustainability initiatives and efforts. They also focused on how to improve eCommerce performance through automation and robotics. In addition, Sayyid Nasr also shared the Oman Post & Asyad Express model and the latest milestones related to the company’s recently opened state-of-the-art fulfilment centre in Muscat.
Commenting during the event, Sayyid Nasr said, “We discussed how the eCommerce and logistics industries are transforming when it comes to introducing, implementing and accelerating automation in the marketplace. At the end of the day, the ultimate goal is to guarantee customer satisfaction and meet the evolving customer expectations and requirements.

The Scalex conference is part of Hypermotion Dubai, the Middle East edition of the German-initiated industry convex that reimagines the transportation and logistics industries. The conference drew together global disruptors who are re-envisioning travel, moving goods and services in the near future. The conference aimed to tear down boundaries between logistics, mobility, infrastructure, and transport while looking to replace them with networked, integrated, and inter-modal systems.
