Muscat: Omani artist Alia Al Farsi’s solo exhibition is currently underway in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, at the invitation of 015 Gallery at Mode Al Faisallah.
The exhibition launched on Monday, October 25 and continuing till November 4 features a unique collection of paintings that were revealed for the first time to the public.
Alia Al-Farsi has recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with 015 Gallery to work on several art-related projects in order to highlight the best practices and experiences in the Gulf and the Arab world.
This agreement is the first of its kind signed by the artist since the opening of Alia Gallery in 2020, and it is the beginning of a series of joint projects concerned with fine arts between Al Farsi and 015 Gallery.
This is also the first time Alia Al Farsi showcased her artwork outside Alia Gallery since the pandemic. The pieces at Mode Al Faisaliah were handpicked by the artist and 015 Gallery, exhibiting different pieces of art published over the years, with each carrying a different message.
With the Omani-Saudi partnership growing across different sectors, the two galleries aim to extend that collaboration to the art field. It is noteworthy that Alia Gallery is an integrated art project founded by the Omani artist, Alia Al Farsi. The gallery aims to be a node for art lovers from around the world.
The inauguration ceremony of the exhibition was held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, the Sultanate’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The event was attended by representatives from the public and private sectors, and several diplomats and businessmen.
