Muscat: Dr. Hassan Mohammed Al Ghabbash, Health Minister of the Syrian Arab Republic visited the Crisis Management and Emergency Centre on Monday, within the framework of his current several-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The visit aims to learn and benefit from the Oman’s experience in the field of emergency operations and management, as well as mechanisms developed for the public health response.
The Syrian Minister was familiarised with the emergency plan and preparedness mechanism, in addition to the centre’s facilities and the work plan in the health operation room during emergencies, as well as means of communication and coordination among operation rooms in the governorates and the authorities concerned in the Sultanate of Oman.
Dr. Hassan Al Ghabbash visited the National Oncology Centre at he Royal Hospital (RH) during which he was briefed on the latest therapies in molecular and cellular Oncology, as well as targeted therapies and immunotherapies.
During his visit to the COVID-19 Immunisation Centre at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, he was briefed on the procedures of the immunisation process for the target groups as part of the National Immunisation Campaign against COVID-19.
