Muscat: The Military Technological College (MTC) is organising the Oman International Conference on Water Resources Engineering and Management, (OICWE2020) which is concerned with the engineering and management of water resources and the challenges they face locally and globally.
The conference will be held from November 9 to 11, with participation from local and international academics, researchers and specialists.
This international event aims to contribute to the development and improvement of the water sector in Oman specially and the region in general. It is also aimed at studying and discussing a wide range of challenges in this field to ensure a sustainable water future for Oman and societies around the world.
The conference will discuss more than 30 important research papers with contributions presented by international keynote speakers, who are known for their various contributions to scientific research.
The conference will cover the following main topics: drinking water and wastewater treatment, rational management of water resources, water distribution systems and water losses, sustainability and rationalisation of energy use, recycling and water reuse, design and construction of water infrastructure and its costs, decision-making and modelling and mathematical simulation.
The MTC organises many scientific conferences and training workshops to sustain scientific and academic levels and, exchanging ideas in the fields of scientific research, innovations and development to benefit from regional and international scientific experiences in this regard.
