Muscat: Fatah Al Khair Centre in the Wilayat of Sur in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate was inaugurated on Monday.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "The opening of the Fatah Al Khair Centre in the Wilayat of Sur was celebrated, which is a cultural and educational station for visitors to learn about the wilayat's marine heritage."
His Excellency Ibrahim bin Said Al Kharusi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage, said in his speech that the project is in alignment with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040. Its strategic objectives and executive programmes are to enhance citizenship, identity, heritage and national culture.
Dr Amer bin Nasser Al Mataani, CEO of the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company, said that the company’s financing of the centre reflects its constant endeavour to support the promising tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman and to find appropriate ways to revitalise the tourism in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
