Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has urged people to go to the respective company with regard to supplying fuel in the event of any technical problems in their vehicles related to fuel quality.
"The Consumer Protection Authority confirmed that after the statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion regarding the joint meeting that was held with the concerned authorities on fuel quality, it is working to find an integrative role with all institutions with the aim of serving the public's interest in preserving consumer rights, following up on all complaints received and finding appropriate solutions," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
Khalid bin Ali Al Rashidi, Communications and Media Director at the authority, explained that in the event of any technical problem in some vehicles with regard to fuel quality, the consumer must go to the company concerned with supplying the fuel to find out the technical reasons for that. If there is no cooperation from it and to find suitable solutions, the consumer should go to the Consumer Protection Authority in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
