Thunderstorms predicted in parts of Oman

Muscat: Parts of the Sultanate of Oman may witness thunderstorms along with dust storms over parts of Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates, Oman Meteorology said on Thursday.

Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "The weather will be clear to partly cloudy skies over Musandam Governorate and the coastal areas of Oman Sea with a chance of thunderstorms. Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate of Oman with chances of clouds development and thunderstorms over al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas towards afternoon. "

"Dust storms are likely over parts of Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates. There is a chance of late night to early morning low level clouds and fog patches along parts of the coastal areas of Arabian Sea," the Meteorology added.
