Muscat: The cardiac electrophysiology team at the National Centre for Cardiac Medicine and Surgery at the Royal Hospital, in cooperation with Johnson & Johnson, have developed the first device in the Middle East for creating 3D electrical maps of the heart.
“The cardiac electrophysiology team at the National Center for Cardiac Medicine and Surgery at the Royal Hospital, in cooperation with specialised technicians from the American company Johnson & Johnson, was able to develop a device for creating 3D electrical maps of the heart,” Oman News Agency said in a statement.
Dr. Najib bin Zahran Al-Rawahi, Senior Consultant of Cardiology, Arteries and Electrocardiography at the Royal Hospital explains that the device is the first such device to be developed in the Middle East, and 4 qualitative successful cases were treated with it with electrocardiologist consultants.
