Over 300 jobs announced in Oman as part of wage subsidy initiative

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour announced 332 jobs in the private sector including those part of the wage subsidy initiative.

Job seekers who have never worked before were notified of the availability of a number of job opportunities in various private sector institutions.

“The opportunities are divided into 243 jobs for university degree holders, 18 jobs for higher diploma holders, 37 jobs for post-secondary diploma holders, 4 jobs for professional diploma holders, and 30 jobs for general education diploma holders,” said the Oman News Agency.

The initiative will also subsidise the wages of these employees for a period of two years to the tune of OMR 200, provided that the employer bears the difference, and that the employment is at least for a period equal to the period of government support.

This initiative comes to support private sector institutions and urge them to employ Omanis. This is the second announcement of job opportunities offered by private sector establishments that have registered to benefit from the wage subsidy initiative, which came under supreme directives.
