Muscat: An archaeological incense burner dating back more than 4,500 years has been discovered in the Wilayat of Saham in North Al Batinah Governorate.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "An archaeological incense burner made from pottery dating back more than 4,500 years was discovered in the Wadi Al-Sukhn area near the village of Dahwa in the Wilayat of Saham, according to what was announced by the Archeology Department of the College of Arts and Social Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University in cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism."
