Tehran: Both in domestic and foreign policy, the judicious leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik advocates collaboration and cooperation among all segments.
The Sultanate of Oman strives to remind all about the significance of solidarity, compassion, recognition for diversity and respect for human beings and their sanctities.
This was stated in the Sultanate’s speech before the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference held here. The 5-day conference saw the participation of representatives of 52 countries.
The speech was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, who headed the Sultanate’s delegation at the conference.
Al Maamari pointed out that the His Majesty the Sultan’s leadership underscored the principle of collaboration during His Majesty’s first historic Royal speech, which affirmed the Sultanate’s keenness to have Oman’s “Message of Peace” roam the world, reflecting a great heritage and noble trends of a civilization that builds rather than demolishes and creates rapprochement rather than alienation.
Al Maamari added that, based on Oman’s experience, a healthy human texture operates within three main components: “knowledge, positive interaction and recognition of the other.”
The conference includes lectures, dialogue seminars and symposia on enhancing scholarly and cultural communication among members of the Islamic community.
