Sultanate of Oman marks Prophet's birthday

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs celebrated, on Monday, the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) birthday at Al Latif Mosque in the Wilayat of Bausher.

The celebration was organised under the patronage of sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Siyabi, Secretary General at the Office of the Sultanate's Grand Mufti.

The celebration comprised the speech of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs delivered by Sultan bin Said Al Hinai, Director General for Preaching  and Guidance at the Office of the Grand Mufti.

The speech tackled the lessons and values derived from the biography of the Prophet (PBUH). The celebration comes within the plans and activities of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.

Al Latif Mosque was opened on Monday. The mosque accommodates 1,850 worshippers and hosts a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 333 persons.
