Muscat: Foreign nationals looking to enter India can once again book tourist visas.

Visa bookings for tour groups began on October 15, while individual travellers can re-enter the country starting from November 15.

People in Oman who wish to book a tourist visa can apply for a visa from BLS International Services in Wattayah, or can sign up for one online, at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa.

“Please note that in case of a regular tourist visa, for the applications lodged through BLS, the applicant will have to bear BLS service fees and any other charges as applicable,” said a statement from the Embassy of India in Muscat.

“Existing tourist visas issued before October 15, 2021 will remain suspended,” added the embassy. “These tourist visas will be issued for 30 days, with a single entry.”

The first 500,000 people who apply for visas will be able to get them for free, at the rate of one per tourist.

The Government of India would also like to remind all foreign nationals entering the country that COVID protocols and Ministry of Health guidelines shall be strictly adhered to.
