Muscat: Nearly two million travellers used Oman's airports by the end of July 2021, which is a decrease of over 48 per cent compared to the same period in 2020.
"The number of people traveling through the Sultanate’s airports (Muscat International, Salalah, Sohar and Duqm) decreased by 48.1 per cent by the end of July 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, where the number of travellers reached 1,931, 043," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
ONA added that preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that the number of flight movements through the Sultanate’s airports amounted to 18,802 until the end of July, including 13,468 international flights and 5,334 domestic flights.
