Owners of ship stranded off Oman’s coast warned

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has asked the owner of a stranded ship named MV MUZAH to retrieve it and warned that it will take legal measures in case the order is not implemented within the specified period.

The ship MV MUZAH bears registration No. IMO: 9002128,  carries the flag of Togo, and is stranded off the Soudah Island in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Hallaniyat Islands in the Dhofar Governorate.

The Ministry called on the owner of the vessel ensure the ship is towed and removed from the current location, within 5 days from the date of publishing the announcement.

The ministry confirmed that it will take legal measures if the order is not implemented within the specified period, in accordance with the law regulating maritime navigation in territorial waters issued by Royal Decree No. (81/98).
