Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has waived fees applicable for the replacement of property titles and cadastral drawings for people who have lost these documents during the cyclone. They will be able to extract title deeds and drawings without paying the applicable fee.

“ Citizens whose properties have been affected by climatic conditions in the governorates of North and South Al Batinah, we call on everyone who has lost land and real estate titles as a result of the climatic conditions to apply to the directors of the Real Estate Registry Departments in the General Directorate of his governorate (North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah) to extract title deeds for damaged or lost replacement and cadastral drawings. With proof of their identity, they will be exempted from financial fees and legal procedures, and we will make sure to carry out the procedures with ease,” Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning said in a statement.
