Muscat: The Asyad Group has announced the opening of registration for Omani data analysts and entrepreneurs to participate in the Asyad Global Logistics Challenge which will be held at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) from November 2-4, 2021.

Asyad Group is inviting Omani data analysts and entrepreneurs to pitch for a place in the Asyad Global Logistics Challenge to be held at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) from November 2-4, 2021, as part of Expo 2020 Dubai events. Local registration for Asyad’s Global Challenge qualifier will begin today, Wednesday, 13th October and continue for a week. The best pioneering projects and inspiring ideas for the logistics sector will then be selected to compete alongside international contestants next month.

The Asyad Global Logistics Challenge will include Asyad Global Logistics Hackathon and Asyad Logistics Startup Challenge and will provide an international platform for promising national data scientists and startups to showcase their skills and share their ideas on how to harness emerging technologies to advance the transport and logistics sectors. Judged by a jury panel consisting of logistics data and technologies experts from the public and private sectors, the competition aims to find sustainable solutions to today's challenges and tomorrow’s aspirations, while leveraging opportunities in both the Omani and global markets.

Engineer Ghaith Mohammed Al Darmaki, Chief Technology Officer at Asyad Group, said :"Asyad Group has always been focused on cultivating national talent and supporting Oman’s 2040 Vision for economic diversification, in which the logistics sector plays a pivotal role. Through Asyad Global Logistics Challenge, we are giving a unique opportunity to young Omani contestants to present their ideas on a global stage. "

"The winning projects will then be developed and implemented in Oman first, as we continue to build a globally competitive logistics sector based on innovation," Al Darmaki added.
