Fish products testing continues post cyclone in Oman

Muscat: Fish product samples have been withdrawn from markets in the wilayats of Suwaiq and Al Khaboura for examination and to ensure their safety post cyclone Shaheen, said the Food Safety and Quality Centre (FSQC).

A statement issued online by FSQC said: "Field visits of specialists represented by the Fisheries Quality Control Centre, continues for fish establishments in the wilayats of Suwaiq and Al Khaboura to ensure that they were not affected by cyclone Shaheen. Samples of fish products were also withdrawn from the markets for examination to ensure their safety. "
