No leakage at Azaiba pumping station, OWWSC clarifies

Muscat: The Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company(OWWSC) has clarified about a video being circulated regarding water leakage from Azaiba central pumping station.

"Referring to the video clip which shows water being discharged from Azaiba central pumping station, please note that discharged water is a result of accumulated storm water that entered the central pumping station which caused the disruption of the operating system. The team at OWWSC is exerting all efforts to evacuate this water and restart," OWWSC said in a statement.

The company seeks patience and understanding of the public and requests all to avoid spreading inaccurate statements especially during critical times.
