Muscat: Oman's last game of the WCL 2 tri-series against Scotland ended as 'no result' on Saturday due to constant rain that poured as a prelude to Cyclone Shaheen expected to hit the Sultanate on Sunday.
Scotland was reduced to 24 for 3 by Oman pacers before an unbroken 76-run fourth wicket partnership between George Munsey (58) and Richie Berrington (15) brought it back into the game.
Scotland was well on the road to recovery at 100 for 3 in 23.2 overs when rain stopped the play, which finally had to be called off after hours of wait in vain.
The two teams walked away with one point each; Oman sitting strong on top with 27 points from 18 games followed by Scotland at 16 from 12.
