Cyclone Shaheen: Motorists, office goers urged to stay cautious

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has urged all people to take precautions while travelling during the rainfall resulting from tropical cyclone Shaheen.

A statement issued online by the Directorate General of Traffic said, "The Royal Oman Police calls on all citizens and residents to exercise caution and to stay in a safe place while avoiding low-lying places."

The Ministry of Labour also issued a warning to office-goers asking them to take  caution and to stay away from work sites in low-lying areas.

"The Ministry of Labour warns employers and the workforce in private sector establishments to take the utmost care and caution, to stay away from work sites in low lying places, to activate their emergency plans, and to manage work sites in accordance with occupational safety and health requirements."
