Joy Alukkas becomes one of the first expat investors to receive Oman’s long-term residency card.

Muscat: Joy Alukkas, Chairman, Joyalukkas Group, added another first to his incredible milestones by becoming one of the first investors to receive a long-term residency card in Oman.

Joy Alukkas along with other 21 investors received the long-term residency card from Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotions at a ceremony held in Muscat.

Elated by the honour, Joy Alukkas, quoted, “This is a milestone moment of my journey in Oman, which has seen many highs during the last decade. It’s an honour to be recognised among the best entrepreneurs in the region. I would like to thank the Ministry of Commerce and Omani authorities for extending this kind of privilege. This further strengthens our vision for Oman and gives us more confidence to invest aggressively in the region. As a group, we are looking forward to creating more employment opportunities for Omani nationals and contribute to the diversification of the economy.”

The initiative is part of Oman Vision 2040 to develop and foster investments from credible business groups to diversify the economy beyond oil resources and create employment opportunities for Omani nationals.
