Muscat: Twenty-two expat investors of different nationalities have received long-term residency visas in Oman on Wednesday.
"The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion launches Investor Residency Programme that grants foreign investors and retirees long residency period. Applications will be received from 3 October, 2021, through the ministry’s e-investment services," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
Khalid Al Shuaibi, Adviser at Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, said the programme aims to enhance qualitative investments that contribute to the growth of GDP, create jobs in line with enablers and fundamentals of Oman Vision 2040.
Azzan Al Busaidi reviews procedures and controls necessary to get the investor’s residency visa. He added that the programme aims to grant investor’s residency to those wishing to invest in Oman for a period ranging between five and 10 years, subject to renewal.
The launch of the programme was accompanied by the delivery of an investor residence visa to the first 22 investors of different nationalities around the world.
