Performance measurement training for employees of Ministry of Education
The training programme targeted thirty-three trainees from the team leaders of the individual performance measurement system and institutional proficiency at the ministry and the Director-Generals of education from various governorates.

Muscat: The Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Qualification and Training at the Directorate-General of Administrative Affairs in cooperation with the Main Committee of the Individual Performance Measurement System and Institutional Proficiency, implemented this week the training programme entitled “Individual plans according to the OKR methodology in the individual performance measurement system and institutional proficiency”.

The training programme targeted thirty-three trainees from the team leaders of the individual performance measurement system and institutional proficiency at the ministry and the Director-Generals of education from various governorates.

Dr. Salwa Al-Qasabiah, Director of Implementation of the Individual Performance Measurement and Institutional Proficiency System Project, delivered a speech in which she said, “This meeting comes with the aim of forming the members of the sub-teams affiliated with your administrative division. The programme seeks to spread the culture of work in the system and deliver the desired results from its application to the educational field, whether at the level of the employee, the official, the unit or the community in general.”

The programme includes a paper entitled “Preparing trainers in the field of operational planning and building individual plans according to the OKR methodology”. Dr. Ali Al Darmaki, Head of the Quality Systems Department in the Quality Department, and Hilal Al Ameri, Head of the Education Economics Department in the Educational Needs Planning Department, and Ali Al-Rashidi, Assistant Director of the Financial Affairs Department at Al Buraimi Governorate, delivered the paper over the course of two days covering a variety of topics.

The programme aims to provide all participants with the skill of formulating smart goals, familiarising themselves with the OKR methodology, building individual plans according to the OKR methodology, and evaluating the extent to which participants are able to transfer their training experiences to all employees of the Ministry of Education.
