Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in Southern Iran on Sunday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University.
A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in Southern Iran with a magnitude of 4.5, at 4.14 am MCT and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 233 km away from Khasab."
