Muscat: The US Food and Drug Administration has authorised the third booster dose of Pfizer vaccine for people aged over 65 years and for those at high risk of COVID-19.
"The US Food and Drug Administration authorised a third booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine to be given to people over 65 years and all people at risk of severe symptoms of COVID-19, which can be given six months after receiving the second dose," said Oman TV.
The US Food and Drug Administration also said people aged 18 to 64 can be given a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine if there is a high risk of COVID-19, and for those whose repeated exposure puts them at high risk, such as health workers and teachers.
