Two houses in Muttrah raided

Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has raided two houses in Muttrah, used by expatriate workers to engage in illegal gold-related business without a license.

“The Muscat Municipality raided two houses in the wilayat of Muttrah, taken by expatriate workers to engage in gold mining activity without a license, and creating an environment that posed a danger to residents and passersby, for their use in the activity of flammable materials,” Muscat Municipality said in a statement.
