Vaccination begins for over 17,000 students in Oman

Muscat: More than 17,000 students, distributed over 69 locations in the Al Dhahirah Governorate, started getting their Covid-19 vaccinations as part of the campaign targeting those aged between 12 and 17 years.

“In conjunction with the decision to return students to schools, the General Directorate of Health Services in Al Dhahirah Governorate began preparing to start the vaccination campaign for the first and second doses for those students aged 12-17 years,” the Directorate General of Health Services in Al Dhahirah Governorate said.

The number of the target group is approximately 17,539 students and eleven teams were formed. It includes school health nurses and data entry personnel distributed over 69 locations in the Al Dhahirah Governorate, which include public and private schools, the Islamic Institute and the Indian School.
