Person arrested in Oman for posing as policeman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested a person on charges of impersonating a policeman and for robbery.

"The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a person on charges of impersonating a policeman and for robbery, as the accused took advantage of an expatriate on the road who was waiting for a taxi. The accused offered to take him to his destination, and upon their reaching an uninhabited area, he claimed that he was a policeman and robbed the  expatriate and fled," the ROP said in a statement.
