Thunderstorms predicted in parts of Oman

Muscat: Al Hajar Mountains may witness thunderstorms along with isolated rainfall over Al Dhahirah Governorate, Oman Meteorology said on Sunday.

"The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with chances of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate along with chances of medium and high cloud advection over the northern parts of Oman. There are chances of isolated rainfall over Al Dhahirah Governorate during daytime. Convective clouds and thunderstorms are predicted over Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon and evening," Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.

Oman Meteorology added that there is a chance of late night to early morning low-level clouds along the coasts of Arabian Sea and Oman Sea.
