Pregnant women can now get COVID-19 vaccine

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that pregnant women can now avail COVID-19 vaccine at the vaccination centres in North Al Batinah Governorate from 7 September, 2021. It is safe for expectant mothers to take the vaccine from first month of pregnancy.

"Starting today, Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the new target group will be received in the field immunisation centres, and it includes pregnant women of all age groups who wish to receive COVID-19 vaccine, starting from the first month of pregnancy. This is provided that they have not received another vaccine two weeks ago. Vaccination of this group is limited to the Pfizer vaccine only," Directorate General of Health Services in North Al Batinah Governorate said in a statement.

"Please book an appointment through the Tarassud+ app and bring the ID card and the green pregnant card," the Directorate General added.
