His Highness Sayyid Theyazin meets Oman Football team

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said has met with the players of the first national football team.

“His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, met with the players of the first national football team and the technical and administrative staff in a friendly meeting,” said the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

“His Highness expressed his happiness with the performance and the result achieved by the team against Japan, praising the high technical levels and the competitive spirit, stressing his great confidence in the ability of them to achieve more positive results in the upcoming matches and moving forward towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar,” the ministry added.

Oman Football team all set to face Saudi: Coach

The coach of the first national football team has confirmed the team's readiness to face its Saudi counterpart.

"Branko Ivanković, the coach of Oman's first football team, said during the press conference that the team is ready to face its Saudi counterpart, explaining that the return of playing in the Sultanate and in the presence of the masses after an absence of nearly two years, will be the biggest incentive and will motivate the players to present a big match," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
