COVID-19: Over 70% of Oman's target population has received at least one jab

Muscat: At least 70 per cent of the target population in Oman has been vaccinated with one dose of COVID-19 vaccines.

"The total number of people vaccinated in the Sultanate since the beginning of the national campaign for immunisation against COVID-19 until September 5, 2021, with at least one dose reached 2,592,464, representing 73 per cent of the total targeted population. The total number of people vaccinated with two doses reached 1,443,886, a rate of 40.7 per cent," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

" The Ministry of Health (MoH) continues the expanded vaccination campaign for the target groups with COVID-19 vaccines in all governorates of the Sultanate. Oman's immunisation centres witnessed a large turnout today, confirming the great societal awareness about the importance of the national campaign against COVID-19," ONA added.
