New Zealand terror attack: All Omanis safe, says Consulate General

Muscat: All Omani nationals and students on scholarships in New Zealand universities are safe, the Consulate General of the Sultanate in Australia confirmed following the terrorist attack that took place on September 3 evening, 2021.

The consulate said in a statement: "The Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Australia assures every one of the safety of all Omani nationals and students on scholarships in New Zealand universities, following the terrorist attack that occurred on Friday evening, September 3, west of Auckland."

The Consulate added that all Omani nationals and students in New Zealand must take utmost care and caution and follow all safety-related instructions issued by the New Zealand authorities.
