Osaka: During the press conference held on Wednesday, Branko Ivankovic, coach of the Oman’s national football team, reaffirmed the team’s readiness for its today’s match against Japan.
The match is within the Asian qualifiers for Qatar’s FIFA World Football Cup 2022. Coach Ivankovic said that it would be a tough match as Japan’s team is one of the best Asian teams.
“We are proud of our participation and presence at this stage amidst a group with teams that have repeatedly participated in the world football cups”, he said.
“The team is ready for the match against Japan”, he said, adding that the training camp organised in Serbia helped us prepare for this match.
National team goalkeeper, Faiz Al Rasheedi described the match as very important and that the team would fight all the 90 minutes of the match. He said that Japan’s team has professional players who play in the European football leagues.
