Muscat: Institutional quarantine will continue to apply to people arriving in Oman from Iraq and Iran.

"The Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with COVID-19 states that the decision to enforce institutional quarantine on all arrivals from the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to stand until further notice. This applies to Omani citizens coming from the two countries as well,” the Government Communication Centre said in a statement.

The decision mandating a minimum of eight days of institutional quarantine for arrivals from Iran and Iraq came into effect on August 17.
