Minister receives Saudi Minister of Investment

Muscat: Oman's Minister of Heritage and Tourism has received the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

"His Excellency Salim bin Mohammad Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, received His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Investment, at the ministry’s General Court. During the meeting areas of joint investment in the tourism sector in terms of projects that attract Gulf tourists, especially the citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed," the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said in a statement.

 " In addition to providing the necessary facilities and exchanging experiences in the fields of heritage and tourism, stimulating and promoting intra-tourism between the two countries after recovering from COVID-19, emphasis was also made on the importance of having a timetable for implementation, activating programmes and strengthening cooperation in the areas available."

"The discussion also touched on a project of memorandum of understanding to be signed during the coming period between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of both the countries, which will lay a framework and basis for cooperation and will cover many areas related to the exchange of expertise, tourism promotion, exhibitions and joint tourism activities, as well as the development of human resources in the tourism sector," the ministry added.
