Muscat: The Ministry of Economy represented by the Planning and Quality Assurance Directorate, organized today (Tuesday) the first workshop to develop the Ministry's work plan for 2022 in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Nasser bin Rashid Al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry and a number of directors general and officials from the Ministry.
The Workshop aims to review the Ministry's current plan 2021, the progress made against the preset targets, measure the importance of current projects and programs for the next year in light of developments and develop a more comprehensive vision about the role of the Ministry of Economy. The workshop also aimed at discussing the most important current economic files to ensure that the Ministry is carrying out its mandates as set out in the Royal Decree 94/2020.
The workshop also discussed the focus areas and strategic objectives for 2022 to propose initiatives and programs that address immediate challenges and foresee the future to turn the Omani economy into a diversified and sustainable economy.
It is worth mentioning that another workshop will follow to define the programs and projects in the Ministry’s work plan for 2022 in order to develop the final plan that will be submitted to the Council of Ministers on October.
