Muscat: The project of designing and paving the internal Al Shuwaiyee road in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate has been completed.
"The Municipality of North Al Sharqiyah completed the project of designing and paving the internal Al Shuwaiyee road in the village of Al Shuwaiyee and its neighbouring villages in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, which comprised a total length of more than 10 kms," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
Engineer Nasser bin Khamis Al Hasani, Director General of North Al Sharqiyah Municipality, explained to ONA that the project that was implemented in the village of Al Shuwaiyee, which is about 31 km away from the centre of the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, comes within the framework of the governorate's municipality's keenness to touch the needs of the villages to provide the necessary services and development projects.
Al Hasani added that the project includes paving an internal road with asphalt with a total length of 10 kms, the road included a side protection position with a length of 2,747 metres, in addition to the work of speed breakers at internal intersections of the road, and the installation of guided traffic signs.
