App based taxi service gets approval for services in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has granted approval to operate Otaxi services via app, in Musandam Governorate.

"In the context of enabling the public transport service in the Governorate of Musandam and stimulating the attraction of tourists and increasing commercial and development growth in the governorate and in support of small and medium enterprises, the Ministry has granted approval to operate Otaxi application through private vehicles for the people in Musandam Governorate," the Ministry said in a statement.

Otaxi is an online application that allows you to get the nearest taxi around you  wherever you are going inside Muscat Governorate with clear details about the driver and the cost of your trip.
