Dar Al Atta’a hands over cheque of OMR120,000

Muscat: Dar Al Atta’a has given away a cheque of over OMR120,000 to Oman Charitable Organisation within the campaign for the support of ‘Campaign for Palestine’, it recently launched.

Maryam bint Issa Al Zadjali, the Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a Association, handed over the cheque to the CEO of Oman Charitable Association, Mohammed bin Hamoud Al Dhahli. The cheque would be payable  in favour of Palestine, within the humanitarian efforts and role of the Association aimed to support and ease the  sufferings of the brotherly Palestinian people.

The campaign for the support of Palestine organised by Dar Al Atta’a Association  included provision of medicines and medical supplies for Muscat Medical Centre at Al Shajaiyah in Gaza.

The centre was established and financed by Oman Charitable Organisation in 2019 and Al Makassed Hospital in Al Quds (Jerusalem), which was officially opened in 1968 and relies on the donations and support of various charity organisations, worldwide.

The support comes within the efforts of Dar Al Atta’a for serving the Palestinian people. The campaign is the third one organised by the organisation for the support of the Palestinian people.

Maryam bint Issa Al Zedjali has valued the efforts accorded by the employees of Dar Al Atta’a and the companies offering their support within their corporate social responsibility towards the society.

She also expressed her thanks to the establishments which have opened outlets for donation within the campaign, which included Thawani application, Omantel, Ooredoo and Talabat application.  She also extended her thanks to all individuals  and small and medium enterprises ( SMEs)  which contributed to the campaign.

She said, “The programme for management of disasters is one of the important programmes of Dar Al Atta’a.”

The programme aimed to support individuals and areas affected with tough weather conditions and other areas at the national and international level in cooperation with Oman Charitable Association.

It is worth mentioning that Dar Al Atta’a Association has earlier organised campaigns for the support of Gaza in Palestine, Yemen, Syria and Rohingya refugees and has provided support at the difficult times and crisis.
