Embassy of Pakistan celebrates 75th Independence Day

Muscat: Pakistan’s embassy in Oman organised a series of programmes to celebrate the country’s 75th Independence Day in a befitting manner.

“The embassy organised a flag hoisting ceremony on its premises, published supplements, and organised a blood donation camp at Pakistan School Muscat,” said the embassy in a statement.

On 14 August, the country’s Independence Day, the embassy organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

This was done “to promote the culture of blood donation among the Pakistani community, and to contribute to serving those in need of blood across health institutions in the Sultanate,” said the embassy.

“On the auspicious occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, Ambassador K K Ahsan Wagan conveyed sincere felicitations and greetings to the Pakistani community members residing in various parts of Oman,” they added. “He has greatly appreciated the role played by the Pakistani community in contributing towards the development of Pakistan.”
